With a naked woman.” The singer said he's working on a self-portrait, but would he get naked for his own lens? "Probably not. It’d be just too frightening for the world."

‘Bare Bones Tour’ Bryan Adams unplugs

Bryan Adams is set to get all intimate again following his performance on the world’s biggest stage at the Winter Olympics. “(The Olympics) wasn’t like anything I’ve ever done before,” Adams said. “Usually, the audience is much closer and I’m with a band. That was more of a theatrical set. But it was quite fun.”
“Bang the Drum” that stadium performance with Nelly Furtado became one of the entertainment highlights from the games, as well as a career highlight for the Canadian rocker behind “Cuts Like a Knife” and “Summer of ’69.” Adams’ “Bare Bones Tour” couldn’t be more different.
Q: What can people expect on this tour?
A: It’s sort of an acoustic rendition of the last 30 years of my life. It’s kind of a return to the song as it was written. It’s an chance to discuss the music a little bit. And it’s quite a different take from anything you’ve ever seen before because it’s just me.
Q: How does that feel for you?
A: At first, it was pretty daunting but quite exciting. Now, it’s just exciting. ... I think people walk away from the show with a whole new understanding of what’s going on in terms of the writing. It’s quite a joyous thing for me to do now while I try to find my feet to decide what I want to do next.
Q: Touring this way, do you get to play songs you haven’t played in a while?
A: Absolutely. The show is primarily songs that people know from me, but there’s always a request that keeps things new. Particularly in the South for some reason, there’s usually a request for something Southern and you just gotta wing it.
Q: Does that mean if someone yells “Freebird!” at you that you’ll take a run at it?
A: Oh, yeah! Though I don’t actually understand why people yell that at me.

Star singer Bryan Adams rocks up to RAF museum in Grahame Park last week

A LEGENDARY rocker last week swapped the Summer of '69 for the summer of 1940 as he visited a museum exhibition in Grahame Park.
Multi-award winning Canadian guitarist and singer Bryan Adams was spotted on Friday at the RAF museum, in Grahame Park Way.
The 50-year-old, known also as a keen photographer, spent about half an hour taking pictures of aircraft such as the Spitfire and Hurricane on display in the Battle of Britain hall, which commemorates the three month air fight that began in July 1940.
He took time out to sign autographs and have his picture taken with fans, and museum attendant Monica Ferreira said she was excited to meet the Everything I Do singer.
She said: “I was in the building when he came in with a member of staff and I thought I recognised his face from somewhere.
“I went over to ask for a picture with him. I was so happy that I spoke to him because he was lovely.”

Bryan Weaver Considering Run Against Jim Graham

Rumors about a possible D.C. Council run by ANC 1C chair Bryan Weaver have been circulating for weeks now, and DCist had been dutifully pestering the longtime Adams Morgan activist to confirm his intentions for some time before ... getting royally scooped by Loose Lips this afternoon. Sigh. Weaver "filed exploratory papers with the Office of Campaign Finance on Tuesday," Mike DeBonis reports.
Weaver was kind enough to at least send us a quick statement via email shortly after the news broke. Given the controversy surrounding incumbent Jim Graham's right hand man, the Ward 1 race could be one to watch in 2010. Then again, Weaver has reportedly only raised about $2,500 so far, and he still hasn't definitely, absolutely decided to run.
So who's been trying to convince Weaver to run? "Friends, activists, small business owners and other ANC Commissioners have approached me," Weaver says, noting that he wasn't too hard a sell, at least conceptually. "It's not a surprise to anyone that I have been actually bothered by the atmosphere of the Wilson Building."
"I have always resented influence peddling, petty and punitive politics," Weaver added, in a hardly veiled reference to the Loza controversy.

John Adams rallies for key Bowl division win, PSAL Week 9 football roundup

The John Adams HS Spartans' season it may have been the most important intermission.
Adams trailed by eight points against Beach Channel on Saturday as the team headed into halftime, and the team needed a victory to secure a spot in the upcoming PSAL Bowl division playoffs.
But coach Jerry Weitzen didn't give his team an impassioned speech. He simply told them to recall how they'd opened the year with six straight wins, and play with similar fire in the second half.
"I said, 'Here we are in a dogfight,'" Weitzen said. "If we lose, we may not make the playoffs. We have to come out and fight and play like true champions."
The Spartans did exactly as their coach requested, scoring 22 straight points in a 22-20 victory.
The win likely secured the Spartans' place in the four team Bowl division playoffs, which will begin in two weeks. Adams is now in third place in the division behind Truman (8-0) and Jefferson (7-1).
The Spartans fell to August Martin, 8-4, last weekend, and Weitzen said another setback on Saturday would have been "painful."
His team averted that with an explosive third quarter. During one 40-second span, the Spartans scored 16 points. First, Brandon Wilson scored a two yard rushing touchdown and converted the two point conversion. Beach Channel fumbled the ensuing kickoff return, and Dolphins senior Jahleek Austin recovered the ball in his own end zone, where he was tackled for a safety, giving Adams a 10-8 lead.
Adams' Akeeme Chavis returned the following kickoff for another touchdown, giving Adams a 16-8 advantage. The team extended that to 22-8 early in the fourth quarter, when linebacker Carlito Atkins scooped up a fumble and rumbled 66-yards for another score.
Beach Channel cut into the lead when Daryll Sanford found Wayne Harris for an 11-yard TD midway through the fourth, and Turran Rhodes brought the team to within two points, 22-20, with a 21 yard rushing score with 1:55 to play. But the Spartans defense stopped Sanford from rushing for the potential game tying two point conversion, tackling him at the one yard line.
